Summer Academy VÕSU VIIS

Every year we are waiting to the festival:

Players and singers, who are interested of new experience playing together with different players, soloists and conductors, communicating other musicians, connection and cooperation between amateurs and professionals.

Conductors, who are interested to see, how other conductors work, getting new ideas from mentors, passive (auditing others conducting, analyzing scores and rehearsal videos, representation of new materials) and active (passive + conducting the piece) participation, special workshops with different themes.

Young composers, who can offer their pieces (from organizers time limit, technical level, organizers can choose one to play with festival orchestra, little award for winner, one new piece every year), possible arrangements from students

Audience, who can enjoy good music.

Main activities on festival:

• Rehearsals of festival orchestra working with older and experienced but also with young and beginning conductors, most important place for exchange of experiences.
• Workshops for musicians and conductors
• Some sports and free time activities to get know eachother better
• Concerts every night by participating musicians
• Big GALA-concert on Saturday evening to perform everything studied in festival. Repertoire is planned very colourful.

• Second GALA-concert with the same repertoire outside of Võsu to distribute knowledge about the event more wider
